Our Challenges
Every year Write for Life hosts three challenges that allow our writers to come together as a community and achieve an exciting goal for their WIPs. Once you create an account at Write for Life, you can sign up for a challenge, track your word count, earn badges, and make new friends on our Discord server! Our challenges always include goals for both the ambitious overachiever and for those who know they work best at their own pace, so come check us out!
February Fables
Do you find you have the most time for writing in the colder months? Do you need a little push in the middle of winter to finally get that draft or edit done? Do you like the excitement of committing to a goal alongside a fun community of writers? Then join us for February Fables!
Each February, Write for Life hosts a winter writing challenge with three different options to choose from: Myth, where you'll commit to writing (or editing!) 5,000 words; Saga, where you'll be challenged to 10,000 words; and Legend, where you'll commit to 20,000 words. So grab a warm drink, pull up a chair, and join us. We’ll be with you every step of the way.

Jotting through June
Do you enjoy setting your own path? Do deadlines help you get things done? Do you like doing all that with an encouraging community of like-minded writers? Then join us for Jotting through June!
Every June, Write for Life hosts a customizable writing challenge — perfect for whether you need to outline, draft, or edit, whether you want to track word count or number of chapters. Join our community, set your own goals, and get to work! We’ll be there to cheer you on.

Operation: Octyper
Choose your mission. Crush your goal.
Do you have a new story you are just dying to write? A WIP you really want to finish this time? Do you like the challenge of setting an ambitious goal to complete in one month, alongside an encouraging group of like-minded writers? Then Operation: Octyper is for you!
Every October, Write for Life hosts a writing challenge with three different missions to choose from: Mission Hexagon, where you’ll commit to writing 60,000 words in 31 days; Mission Treble, where you’ll write 30,000 words; and Mission Rogue, where you’ll set your own goal. Join us, and start writing!
